چکیده

The temperature dependences of the dc resistivity and the nonlinear transport properties in pure, Rb-doped, and W-doped blue bronze K0.3MoO3 single crystals are presented. In comparison with the Rb doping, the W doping has larger effects on the electrical transport properties and the Peierls transition. In particular, the maximum in the temperature dependence of the threshold field for nonlinear transport, observed in pure and Rb-doped samples around 100 K, is absent in W-doped K0.3MoO3. These results are discussed with respect to the proposed incommensurate-commensurate transition of the chargedensity-wave and its interaction with impurities and normal carriers. Coulombian disorder in Charge Density Waves

When unscreened charged impurities are introduced in charge density wave system the long wavelength component of the disorder is long ranged and dominates static correlation functions. We calculate the x-ray intensity and find that it is identical to the one produced by thermal fluctuations in a disorder-free smectic-A. We suggest that this effect could be observed in the blue bronze material K...

X - Ray Diffraction from Pinned Charge Density Waves

We present an x-ray study of doped charge density waves systems. When a 2k f-charge density wave is strongly pinned to impurities, an interference effect gives rise to an asymmetry between the intensities of the +2k f and −2k f satellite reflections. Moreover, profile asymmetry of the satellite reflections indicates the existence of Friedel oscillations (FOs) around the defects. We have studied...

The optical conductivity spectra of quasi-one dimensional compounds K0.3Mo1−xWxO3 (x=0, 0.03 and 0.15) have been studied over broad frequencies. While the dc resistivity measurements indicate no sign of CDW transition in heavily W-doped blue bronze, the optical conductivity spectra still show a single particle gap at around 0.2 eV for E parallel to the chain direction. Such impurity effect chal...

Influence of Rolling on Microstructure and Mechanical Properties of Bronze-Steel Explosive Welded Sheets

In this paper, the microstructure and mechanical properties of the plain carbon steel-bronze interface of explosive welding and rolling were investigated. Explosive connection was done at two stop distances and with two different thicknesses of explosive material. Rolling of the welded composite was done at both ambient and preheated temperatures of 300 °C and with a constant thickness reductio...

Charge density wave transport in inorganic linear chain compounds

2014 In quasi-one dimensional inorganic conductors such as the transition metal trichalcogenides NbSe3, TaS3, the tetrachalcogenides (TaSe4)2I, (NbSe4)10/3I and the molybdenum blue bronzes A0.30MoO3 (A = K, Rb, T1) a new collective transport by the macroscopic sliding of a so-called charge density wave through the lattice has been reported. We review the structural and electronic properties of ...
